Traditional Swags

General Information:
- Traditional swags are pattern cut
- Dust caps are constructed of 3/4” pine board
- Top of dust caps are covered in white lining
- Self-Fabric on dust cap available
- Cotton thread is used
- ADD-ON items such as cascades, jabots, panels, rosettes, or knots are billed separate
- Bays or corners, bay plates are used for pivoting
- CRITICAL that mounting information be included on the work order, particularly if the treatment is inside or wall to wall mounted
- Swag mounted wall to wall, or inside of an opening, we will take a 1 inch deduction off
- Clearly specify if the swags are to be LINED, UNLINED or INTERLINED
- Specify the TYPE of lining to be used
- If no lining is specified, our white stock poly-cotton sateen will be used
Features for all Basic Formal, Basic Gathered, End Cap, and Box Swags
- Swags are direct mounted to the dust cap by stapling
- Fabrication method is determined by the style #
- Only the short point OR the long point of the swag can be specified, if BOTH the short and long point dimensions are critical, request a CUSTOM quotation
- Swags are pattern matched from swag to swag (if sufficient yardage has been allowed)
- Swag overlaps are about 6” to 12” depending on the style number specified
- End Cap Swags and Box Swags use hard returns (legs) which are 3/4” thick
- All products are packaged in plastic for delivery, shipping, or installation
Features for all Empire and Bell Swags
- Fabrication method is determined by the style #. Specified
- Swags are pattern matched from swag to swag (if sufficient yardage has been allowed)
- Horns are approx. 3” – 4” shorter then finished length of swags
- Seams are hidden behind horns or bells
- Empire and Bell Swags must be self-lined or contrast lined
- Constructed in cuts, seams are hidden at back of horns
- Other Jabot styles available, see ADD-ON section
- All edges are pillow cased
- All products are packaged in plastic for delivery, shipping, or installation
Pricing
- Priced per linear foot, Linear foot pricing includes face width plus both returns
- Face width + both returns ÷ 12, round up = number of linear feet
- Add-on items such as banding, cording, cascades, bows, rosettes, etc., are billed as separate items
- If unlined, price as a lined swag
Working with Stripes
Caution should be used when working with stripe fabric. It’s important to tell us if your fabric is stripe. As you can see below in the picture the different fabrication styles when using stripe fabric.
