Open Swags

General Information:
- Swags are Pattern cut
- Mounted directly onto a Pole or Rod
- Generally, build by starting with the basic swag configuration
- Complete the swag treatment by adding (ADD-ON) items such as cascades, jabots, panels etc.
- ADD-ON items must be calculated individually
- Choosing a fabrication method is part of the swag design
- Bay and corner window configurations for Open Swags must be CUSTOM QUOTED
- We will manufacture all open swags to the exact face width you request on the work order
- Always clearly specify if the swags are to be LINED, UNLINED or INTERLINED
- Specify the TYPE of lining to be used
- If no lining is specified, our white stock poly-cotton sateen will be used
Features for all Open Formal Folded and Gathered Swags
- Pole to be supplied by the Designer or Customer
- Return sizes will be determined based on the mounting brackets you send to us
- The size stated on the work order will be your approximate estimation for fabric calculation purposes only
- Open swags are permanently mounted onto wooden poles by stapling
- Open swags mounted onto iron rods with Velcro and an Iron Rod Mounting up charge will be applied.
- Fabrication method (Bias, Upright/Railroad) is determined by the style #, Specified
- Only the short point OR the long point of the swag can be specified, if BOTH the short and long point dimensions are critical, request a CUSTOM quotation
- The swag throat depth between the bottom of the rod and top of the swag throat will vary from between 3” to 6” inches depending on the pole and type of fabric used
- Swags are pattern matched from swag to swag (if sufficient yardage has been allowed)
- Swag overlaps range from 6” to 12” depending on the style number specified
- All products are packaged in plastic for delivery, shipping, or installation.
Pricing
- Priced per linear foot, Linear foot pricing includes face width plus both returns
- Face width + both returns ÷ 12, round up = number of linear feet
- Add-on items such as banding, cording, cascades, bows, rosettes, etc., are billed as separate items
- If unlined, price as a lined swag
Working with Stripes
Caution should be used when working with stripe fabric. It’s important to tell us if your fabric is stripe. As you can see below in the picture the different fabrication styles when using stripe fabric.
